about

"Fuck yes! Weird as hell, quirky-ass rock! The first song starts off super mellow mellow and clean, but turns right up my alley PDQ with nerdy alien falsetto and a stoned as hell surfy feel. It's going to be hard for me to not make a DICKIES reference. Fans of weirdos like that, as well as ALICE DONUT, BENTON AND THE BENTONITES, or even SPOT 1019 should prick up your plastic Spock ears and find this shit pronto. Each song also has a perfectly executed "party track"! This weird shit is on repeat LAMF over here."
--Maximum Rocknroll

"'Weird Walk' walks the crooked line and manic mile with angular riffs and edgy attitudes that takes a stroll around what feels like East Austin enjoyed through lysergic eye lens."
--Impose Magazine

"In an era when we’ve seen a revitalization of dialogue surrounding gender and race, Big Bill’s songs work to ally themselves with such underrepresented parties, a move that feels even more punk than the genre’s original ideologies. 2016 isn’t the time for a weirdo punk band to make waves nationally or release chart-topping tracks, but Big Bill is more important than that. I can’t think of another current Austin band more iconic or resonant."
--Pop Press International

"The capital city of the Great State of Texas has a motto: “Keep Austin Weird”; South Austin’s Big BIll are surely doing their part."
--The Big Takeover

about

Big Bill Austin, Texas

Influenced by the deadpan irreverence of The Monks and Talking Heads, Big Bill is known for their darkly comic, nervy take on punk rock. Though their brain-altering live show remains a huge part of their DNA, Big Bill's music has evolved across many lineup changes, stretching from the rawest, weirdest punk into shades of country, new wave and even quasi-classic rock. ... more
